More supervision needed at this theatre

One Firday night I took my son to visit this theatre. Upon arrival we realized there were no lines to get in and the tickets were very cheap. Once we entered the theatre it was a ghosttown and we could clearly see why. The place was a mess! There were spilled buckets of popcorn all over the floors, empty cups left on the chairs, and other trash left thoughout the theatre floors. Once the movie began we were the only viewers in the room. About 20 minutes into the show the film went to a split screen with the movie shown with the top half of the picture on the bottom and the bottom half on the top. We waited patiently for it to straiten out but when it didnt I went to ask for help. I left the viewing room and immediatly walking around the corner was the popcorn stand where I found one of the young gentleman there with his hand in the popcorn holder and a mouthful! He even had popcorn falling down his chest & belly. Once he finished chewing, embarrasinhgly, I told him the film was messed up and he walkie talkied someone to fix it. Upon re-entering the movie I advised my son not to eat any more of the popcorn & why. This little 9 year old was completly disgusted that someone was eating the popcorn out of the machine! so not only did we sit in a dirty theatre, the film was messed up, and we couldnt eat the snack we had bought. I have not been back to this theatre. When we were leaving I wanted to approach the boy and tell him that we wanted our money back for the popcorn. He quickly walked into a managers room behind tickets sales and closed the door. I had had enough of the place and just wanted to exit, so i never got my refund...This was all at an early evening movie on a friday night. At such an early hour i would expect the theatre to be clean, and on a friday i would expect it to be packed...neither was the case and i now know why.

• Pros: close to home, very cheap tickets
• Cons: film errors, messy floors & chairs, unprofessional staff

A great movie theater

AAA Best Rates Best Place

What a difference!!! New management was brought in and my old home town theater is back in business.

The first thing I noticed was the FRIENDLY atmosphere, the cleanliness and someone to actually greet me as I came through the door. The prices were extrememly reasonable(Matinee $5, Adults $6 after 6pm) for first run films,the pricing on this web page is not correct, the concession prices were a little high, but as I understand it that is where theaters make their monies. The concession stand I just have to comment on, because of it's cleanliness, I looked for something dirty,old something, but was completely surprised, I actually did not mind spending the extra for the service and product. The popcorn was fresh and tasted really good, when I commented on it the lady told me it was made with TLC just for me, and that in its self made me feel appreciated for my comment and my business. The theater I was in was also clean. The restrooms once again I was expecting to find something, but again was surprised they were clean and as I was in there the staff was in checking and making sure all was clean. I found the manager to be extremely knowledgeble and friendly not to mention funny. What a difference. I highly recommend this theater to my friends and family. If you want a reasonable,safe, clean and friendly place to take the family or just yourself this is the theater to try in our area of Rhode Island. The neighboring theaters like Lincoln or Providence where I paid almost double the price for tickets have all the newest features but they couldn't make me feel welcomed or appreciated even with all the newest stuff and high prices. So again if you are looking for fun at a reasonable price with good service and good atmosphere, this is the place to go.
