Once is more than enough. Looking for a quick bite to eat before driving back to CT, my wife and I stopped at J G Goff's. The barmaid finally came to take an order, because the waitresses seemed to busy gossiping with each other. A drink came quickly, but the food took over 30 minutes. I ordered the large frank and fries. The frank was burned to a cinder and the fries were cold. My wife's crab cakes (2), when stacked on top of each other wouldn't fill a cupcake paper. There was a distinct lack of crab in the crab cake. The bill with 2 glasses of ale was $35. If you feel like throwing away money and leaving hungry, then this is the place to go.

A disappointing visit . . . we felt ripped off!. A friend and I had lunch here and the setting (on the ocean) was great. The food was overpriced and below-average in quality. The place seemed geared to rip off tourists. The so-called "real" turkey sandwich was tasteless and the potato salad was undercooked. Service was spotty as well. They should stick to being a bar and forget about food altogether. The ice cream cones we had for dessert (from Grays) helped to save our visit to Bristol.

Great outdoor dining. Great sunsets. Incredible waterfront dining. Worth the wait. Family style with very friendly customers. Nobody rushes you. You could stay all day. Also has free boat docks.
