In Short – A prime waterfront location will lure you to Bowen's; sumptuous prime steaks and attentive service will ensure a return visit. While families gather in the two-level dining room, couples linger at the wave-shaped bar to try one of more than 250 wines available. In warm weather, patrons angle for a seat at the outdoor bar. House specialty entrees include herb-crusted salmon with French lentil salad and grilled filet mignon with Maytag blue cheese.
Yummy steak sauce!
by AmityM
They have some ridiculously good cognac cream sauce or something for the steak. I think it normally comes with the au poivre steak, but the waitress hooked me up with it for my regular filet. The truffle mac & cheese was amazing too. Overall a really good menu. Ate outside on a Friday night which was really nice.

Still looking for favorite restaurant of all time
by LBRJ
My Fiance and I went to Newport for the weekend. We found this restaurant online. We were seated right away. Although we sat next to the wait station the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. The bathrooms however were oddly located in the coat room. Which I find very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. Our entrees were very good as were our appetizers. Our dessert and dessert wine was equality as delicious. Our bill was on the high side but we expected that going into it. Overall it was a good experience and we would return again.
- Pros: Very good meal all and all
- Cons: Coat Room/Bathroom
