Best Sushi in Providence. We were looking for a good place for about 5 months and we randomly tried this place down the street from out house... Can't wait to go back!!! And the little things they make out of the carrots are the cutest in the world... My girlfriend felt the need to take them home she loved them so much...

Best Asian restaurant on the West Side. The Phoenix Dragon is by far the best Asian restaurant in the West Broadway area; in fact, aside from Apsara Asian (always the gold standard), it's the best in the city. The service is incredibly friendly, and the range of dishes is wide and tasty. You can get good Cantonese food, excellent sushi, and a range of standard Chinese-American fare. The larger sushi plates come with amazingly detailed little carrot carvings; the giant plate come with a dragon with cloves for eyes and enormous carrot whiskers. They also have a fine line of exotic drinks, among them a "Volcano" which your server will light with a match. Saturday morning brings an excellent dim sum menu as well, and the Phoenix Dragon happily accommodates large groups, even if you have to split the dinner tab up in a complicated way.

Starving artists and families on the go flock to this West End restaurant for dim sum.. In Short
Admittedly, the Phoenix Dragon shortchanges with decor. The open dining room, sparsely decorated with neutral wallpaper, a few Asian paintings, and simple black lacquer furniture, has an anonymous banquet hall feel. Which may explain why many customers opt for take out from a menu that is surprisingly rich in options: Standards like lo mein and fried rice are complemented by rare dishes like Australian abalone and shark fin soup.
