Wow!!!!!! Its about time........ This place rocks.....I had the only male artist at the salon after being reschedule from my original appointment but it was worth the change. My high lites were noticed by my boyfriend immediatly...what a change....the cut was just what made the difference for me. Talk about killer products, Prive I never heard of but it is great. My hair feels wonderful. I work in sales and I will definetly spread the word........

Beautiful Haircut, thank you Alison!. I was rewarded for believing the great reviews. Junior stylist Alison listened to the qualities I wanted in my haircut [ie. easy, sophisticated, edgy, young, versatile] and she was very careful about how short [in fact I wouldn't have minded going shorter]. She was very professional, washed my hair and got a feeling for the texture, and gave me an awesome style, perfect for me, making my unruly curly hair [which is more difficult than straight to find a cool style] look elegant, easy, modern. I paid $40 here for a similar experience that I had paid $120 for at bumble&bumble in NYC. The salon being beautiful etc is all secondary to looking good and feeling happy with what you get, I say. And Alison was talented, professional, down to earth.

User review by ladidah02906. First, their "expert" eyebrow shaper burned my skin with wax that was too hot. Also took a huge chunk out of my eyebrow and then pretended it was no big deal. Even my fiancee noticed! (Which is saying alot.) The owner of the salon is quite rude. He doesn;t know about running a salon. He does know how to make it look good, though. Tara and Stephanie are awesome hairdressers and colorists.

User review by stuckinthecity. I just wanted to say i had an incredable experience in this salon. I choose to go to the master colorist who was new to the salon but had an lenghthy background for my hair color and hilites. She matched my exsisting color perfect and framed my face with hilites that complemented my face and new color. I think she is a great new asset to this salon and incourage everyone to give her a try.

Awesome. When I drove by this salon that I had originally seen in Rhode Isand Monthly, I knew I was going to be in for a surprise. I was booked for a full service from head to toe. My color which I normally have done in Atlanta was the best and my cut was even the better. Stephanie is a real artist when it comes to color while Tara gave me the best cut I have ever had in my travels. The Manicure and Pedicure was even fabulous.

Great Salon. I have been going to Lumiere since it opened. It was great to find a NYC style salon in Providence. I have had my hair cut, styled and colored by many of the artist, both junior and senior, at the salon and each time the experience has been great. I am continously complimented by friends about my hair cut and color. The salon is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. All in all its a great experience, very relaxing and worth every penny. The cappuccino and chocolates served during your stay top it all off. If you have not experienced Lumiere you are missing out.

"Lumiere" lit me up. There is an old saying in customer service that a dissatisfied customer will tell ten people, a happy customer MAY tell one. To defy this, I would like to share my positive experience with citysearchers. I found Lumiere's informative website and was very intrigued. A "New York" salon? Sounds scary to "small town" me... but , I felt very comfortable and welcomed into this beautiful, modern, and clean salon. Any salon can look good but do they have the skill that my fragile blonde hair required? The answer is YES, especially if you go with an advanced stylist. I did, and I am thrilled. Working in real estate and other people-oriented avenues, it is important I feel confident about my hair- I have Teri to thank for this. Great products. I will definitely go back!

wow. that negative review must be a plant from a rival salon! i fell in love first visit. when i called, front desk gal was amazingly patient with endless questions & concerns. support staff is incredibly personable--offering beverages, magazines, asking if water temp is OK, etc. brilliant stylist azriel talked me out of the process i requested, suggesting something less damaging, a better cut for the hair god gave me. he was SO RIGHT. after extensive consultation--analysing hair & face structure, offering "prescription" for care--i put myself in his hands. walked out THRILLED with a cut i never would have chosen, silky texture (thermal protein treatment) i didn't imagine possible for my coarse, wavy tresses. normally, i run home from a haircut to mess with it. this time, was sorry i hadn't made plans to go out! plus DIVINE scalp massage (routine w/shampoo). can't wait to go back!!

Jayne. I am SO glad I didn't listen to the negative review posted here otherwise I wouldn't be walking around with the best hair color that I think I've ever had! I was a bit hesitant about keeping my appointment after visiting this sight and reading the reviews, however my fears were all for nothing. I did spend a long time there which I view as a positive because Teri, the Color Director, took her time explaining and making sure I was satisfied every step of the way. The ambiance is incredible, very "New York." I didn't detect an attitude from anyone at all, quite the opposite actually. I was asked numerous times if I needed anything or wanted something to drink. I can't wait til my next appointment! Oh, and there is a parking lot nearby so if you have your card validated the parking is covered by the Salon!
