41.78689 -71.31677My Favorite Place to Go!. I started going to this Spa about two years ago. I absolutely love the people here! they are all very friendly, and always very accommodating. I go every six weeks, and I stay for about a half day each time. I have had just about every person in there. Some I like more than others, but all girls are nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and my skin has never looked better. I used to by stuff at the mall, but my skin never looked like this! The girls I see have all been there over two yrs, and seem very happy! I make sure I book way ahead, they are always very busy!
very accomodating!. I was in right before Christmas for a very minor service to freshen up before the holidays. I had actually prepaid for the service the day before since I had a gift card but forgot to bring my credit card to hold the appointment. When I came in it was a little crazy, especially being this time of year, but everyone was very pleasant. The person that was doing my service somehow over looked my appointment. I went to the front desk to let them know I had been waiting quite a while. They took me within a few minutes, and couldn't have been more appologetic. They did the service beautifully, I was very happy, and then the owner refunded me for having to wait so long! Merry Christmas to me! I'll be back, I think she's more than nice!
Worst Spa EVER!.

Staff turnover is frequent, if you like an employee don't expect to find them still employed if you return, the good ones have the self respect to move on.
The pricing structure is excessive if you see a range on their web site expect to pay the maximum no matter how minimal your service was.
Expect a hard sell on all (excessively priced) products, expect to see nervousness on part of the employee when you decline the hard sell.
Notice how the employee providing your service suggests (begs) only glowing comments when checking out, again showing nerves on the part of the employee.
Pick your teeth off the floor when you're told by the person at the front desk that they only accept 18% ~ 25% gratuity when paying by credit card.
If you're looking for a great relaxing spa then keep looking this is not the place for you and it's criminal to allow this owner to profit at the expense of her customers and employees.
Nice atmosphere.
I had gone to one of the off price nail places at the mall, and they had destroyed my nails! I tried to make an appointment to get acrylics done at Tranquil Waters, but the time wasn't working, so I went to the mall. What a mistake. I ended up going back to have them removed at Tranquil, and saw the damage they had done to my nails.
My cuticles were ground down and bleeding. Kris took the other mess off and has been bringing my nails back to where they should be. Thank you, next time I'll make sure I go here first!
Very serene atmosphere, p.
I went to Tranquil Waters because a friend recommended them to me. I made an appointment to get my nails done there (french mani) before my wedding. When I walked in I thought it was very serene in the lobby area. The receptionist was friendly, they offered me tea or water and was promptly taken to the nail tech. The nail tech was very friendly and even offered to clean my engagement ring while I was getting my manicure done. She was very friendly but she told me that she had forgotten her french manicure brush and hadnt done one free hand in years and was nervous because I was a bride, Overall, I was unsatified with the manicure. She filed my nails but they werent straight, the line on the tip looked very noticably crooked and the paint they use is organic ( which is nice ) but takes 4 hrs to dry completely ( which is inconvienant). I felt bad saying anything to the tech about not liking what she did because I felt bad for her. but the more I looked at it the more I hated it. The manicures there are not cheap either..I called to see if I could either get my money back or a portion of it because it looked so bad and it was my wedding..where I knew my hands would be photographed. The receptionist was very nice but said that the owner would call me back. She was very rude and never apologized and kind of tried to make it seem like I must have done something to ruin the manicure myself. Then she said "if it was really a problem" I could come back in the morning ( my wedding day). Needless to say, I didnt go.
The other thing that I did not like was at the end of the manicure when I went to pay the receptionist named off about 10 specials they were having and tried to pressure me into booking them. Then they tell you how much you owe and give you options of how you should tip from 20 percent to 40 percent. Which made me feel awkward that I was being told what I had to tip.
Profesional, Pampering, Fantastic!. I can't say enough about the day of pampering my husband gave me! I had a really bad experience at the mall a yr ago. The over processed my hair to the point of bald spots. My husband scheduled a day of beauty for me, since I was afraid to go anywhere after that happened. I had the best day of my life! I was pampered all day, everyone was wonderful, and my hair looks wonderful. I'm so happy I went. I'll never go anywhere else again. Thank you!
Wow!.
I was very impressed with my recent visit to the Spa. I travel extensively, but always enjoy when I'm in town and have an opportunity to go to Tranquil Waters, especially knowing how hard it is to maintain quality anymore, I'm very appreciative that the owner takes an interest and is usually there to ask how things were. The staff is always a pleasure to interact with. A very relaxing day! Thank you
for being my little piece of pleasure.
Tranquil Waters listens to feedback. Tranquil Waters appreciates feedback. We must have been doing somthing right for you to be comming to us for the last year Patty. Unfortunatly we cannot control who are guests socialize with, and when it's an employee or previous employee who's having performance difficulty some guests tend to want to make it personal for themselves. I was informed you were unable to afford the services any longer, as was the case previously. I do not contact guests to inquire of thier financial situations.
You can't judge a book by its cover - unfortunately.
I was a customer of this spa for over a year and spent close to $7000 in products and services during that time. I have decided that my money is too valuable to spend at a place that treats their employees terribly, is tense and nickels and dimes you.
The service professionals are excellent and do their best to buffer their clients from the owner. That's not always easy. She is rude to clients and employees.
I had a question for my esthetican about the products I had just spent hundreds of dollars on and she wouldn't let me talk to her. She wanted to answer my questions even though she is not the professional nor does she know about my skin. She also changed my service provider without my knowledge and the fill-in did a TERRIBLE job. The amount of turn over of both clients and employees should have been an indication.
This review comes after much experience with this spa. There were periods of time I was there almost weekly and have experienced a wide variety of services.
The spa is beautiful to look at but you can feel the tension when you walk in. That is not the spa experience I am looking for and especially not at those prices.
Despite all the money I spent there, the owner did not even call to find out what my reasons for leaving were. That would have been basic customer service.
I would strongly recommend against visiting this spa.
Best facial, worst front desk customer service.
I went to tranquil waters for some treatments this past week. My esthetician Donna was great and so were my nail techs. What I found really disturbing was the women who I later found out owned the place was the most rude person I have ever seen in my life, not only was she rude to me but she was rude to her staff, no one seemed happy to work for her. You walk in and automatically get a really fake greeting from her she had a puss on her face the whole time. She scolded the young man at the desk with her. She just seemed like a ver bitter woman. I almost didn't want to even receive my services after that. Like some of the other bad reviews on here I think it is ridiculous that they shove their tip standard in your face pretty much guilting you into a 25 percent tip. I feel really bad for the people who have to work for that awful woman. I cant imagine anything nice coming from her. Oh and they also at the desk seem forced like robots to state there salon specials, (mind you as the older woman had the worst hair ever). make a sign or something it never sounds natural.
I will never go to this Spa EVER again and will never recommend it to anyone.
I hope this was helpful! And the only reason i even gave it one star is because you are forced to.
