This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write about an experience at a salon because Alisha at The W Salon is AMAZING. I'm always so leery when it comes to getting my hair cut, because it seems like it never grows back...Initally I booked my appt with Alisha for just a color, after she seen my hair I asked her opinion on what I should do, she recommended I get it cut because it really needed it and explained that if I wanted it to grow I would need to get it trimmed regularly. She also recommended I get a conditioning treatment, which I've never had before so I knew nothing about it, but I agreed. I don't even know where to begin because the whole experience was amazing, The cut color and blow out she gave me was priceless I've never been happier, not only with how I felt and looked when I left but also with the difference I can see in my hair now, it's so silky and soft I honestly can't remember my hair feeling this nice EVER what a difference and I no longer have to flat iron it everyday because once it dries it looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with my hair and I LOVE Alisha she really is the BEST!

I always have a great experience at the W Salon. I always get the Deva Curl Cut and I recommend it to anyone with curly hair. I schedule all my appointments with Alisha. She is very talented. She listens to what you want and understands how to deliver. Alisha knows alot about hair and how to make it fabulous!

What a great salon! I was worried when I moved here I wouldn't find a salon as good as one in nyc or sf or la so I am very happy my brother referred me here! Alisha is awesome. She's genuine, fun, a talented stylist, and I am a regular customer now!

Happy I Made Appointment. I received a haircut yesterday with Casey and was very pleased with the results. I did not have a photograph of my intended style with me, but she listened carefully and it turned out exactly as I had envisioned. She took the time to explain to me how she was blowdrying it and which brushes she was using so that I could do it myself at home, too. In addition, she also offered other tips such as what temperature the flat iron should be at and which products and vitamins can help my hair be healthier. I would recommend this salon to others and I'm thankful to have had a nice experience.

Haircut (great). I did a hair cut and my hairdresser was Casey Bhyan. I loved how she did it. It was exactly how I wanted it and how it was on the picture. She seems as a good listener and a hard worker. I'd come again for a haircut.

One of The BEST Salons in Providence. I have been a faithful W Salon-er for 3 years now and honestly there is no reason to go anywhere else. They're stylists are fun, professional, and really 'get' what I'm looking for all the time. I've gone to a few different stylists for color, a cut, and even updos and everytime I leave I'm happy. My latest cut and color was done by James Clarke and I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I got for a full week! Yes I washed my hair and was able to recreate the style. Loved it!

I can't end this review without metioning their spa service specifically their facials. LOVE THEM!! Ana Rodriguez has to be THE BEST facialist. Last year I was going thru some skin issues and turned to Ana for help. And let's just say the woman knows SKIN! Amazing all the time. Thank you Ana for putting 'My Best Face' forward.

Finally I'm sad to see someone slander stylist Alisha. There is no way this review by 'jessicalynn77' is true. I personally know Alisha and have been one of her clients before and she is both professional and amazing. She is great! Why anyone would want to be so mean is incomprehensible.

All in all this salon deserves 5 stars because aesthetically it looks great, the environment is fun and upbeat, and everyone is friendly and out going.

Horrible Stylist Alisha Rodrigues (I'm not the 1st to say). I Went to the W Salon after seeing notice of awards, etc. I guess I should have done more homework on a particular stylist named Alisha whom seems to have an surplus of complaints. For some reason I was under the impression that only very good and experienced stylists worked at the W . What I got was an embarrassment. I am not vain or all into my hair but after coming out looking much worse than going in I am literally embarrassed to be in family photographs. What I wanted was a sophisticated, modern look. What I got was hick-town hair-band wannabe circa 1985. Scrunching and pointy "wings," anyone? Upon getting home my husband actually said, "What the hell?!" Not the reaction one would want! I do not enjoy giving such a harsh review, and I will say many of the employees there had cute, updated looks, but it will be daily ponytails for me until I can afford to get it fixed ... somewhere else. Alisha was quick to cut and excuse my tone but bitchy after my complaint and pretty much told me that if I don't like it, I should lose some weight and It would look better on me. I don't know much about this Salon but after reading several reviews on Alisha, I wish I would of done some research.

great hair, great atmosphere, great hair. I had the greatest experience with my new stylist Coy, he was the most professional, creative and FUN stylist I have had in a long time. The whole salon was amazing!!! I have been to many salons from Providence, Boston & DC....and Coy by far out styled, out colored, and out cut the others. I will be back to see Coy for my new do!!!!

Fantastic!. I went to this salon for the 1st time. I was so nervous after having many horrible experiences with other salons. As soon as I walked in, the smiling friendly faces put me at ease. I had my appt with nicole. She was fantastic. She listened to everything I wanted and didn't want. I wanted a beach wave originally and read that they are not so good for your hair. She achieved the same look with a perm! Could not believe it. Not only that she educated me on how to style and take care of my new hair, and the cut I wanted was just perfect. This salon is wonderful. Every single person works as a team helping each other out, and not one attitude from anyone in there. It is like they are all great friends. I am sooo happy with my results, I will be going back without a doubt! Thank you Nicole and team!
