better off elsewhere.
I had a good experience on the day I went to buy my dress here. The woman who helped me was nice, and I found a dress that I liked and bought.
The rough part came when I called them a couple of months later to confirm my dress arrival date (my sisters are crazy organized!). The first sales associate told me that she "couldn't read the arrival date," that was written for my dress and would have to call me back in a few minutes." The entire day passed with no response. Called back the next day and was tossed from associate to associate before Linda, the owner, picked up and told me that my dress had never been ordered because the manufacturer stopped making it. I pride myself on being a reasonable person ... but if I hadn't called to check, it would've been pretty interesting to get to the time when they'd originally told me it'd get in (couple months before the wedding) and find out it wasn't ordered. To top it off, Linda was rude and unapologetic. I had to fight to get my deposit back, which they stalled on sending to me.
Bottom line: you're better off going anywhere else.
When the wedding gown burned, they got the wedding gown for the wedding..
we bought everything from this shop. We got the very best of service and also used Louisa as the seamstress. Everything was done perfectly as far as I know and everyone was happy with the store and the employees.
However Friday night before the wedding, which was to be held at 10:00 am on Saturday morning, the wedding gown caught on fire. The bride's father had hung the wedding gown on the third floor of their home, but had hung it off a chandelier light and covered the light with a towel so dust would not fall onto the gown. Sometime in the afternoon, someone turned the light on and forgot to turn it off. At about 5:00 pm, the dress caught on fire because of the light. The bestman burned his hands, but got the fire out, but the dress was ruined.
My friend called Bridal and Gift at 5:45 and asked them to stay open because she needed another gown. Even though the were closing at 6:00, they stayed open so she was able to select a gown very similar to what she had. Both the owner and Louisa stayed until 7:30 selecting the gown and then pinning the gown for alterations. Louisa took the gown home that night and worked until 3:30 Saturday morning in order to finish the alterations, set the bustle on the gown and flat iron press it. Then L:ouisa was at Bridal and Gift at 8:00 Saturday morning with the gown all done in perfect condition. The groom picked the gown up and brought it to the bride who was able to get dressed and married at 10:00.
I thought this was exceptional service and was way beyond what I would have expected from any shop. They charged only the regular rate for alterations and said, "It was the least they could do for one of their customers."
I would highly recommend this shop for everything and anything.
I know this is where I am going when I get married in two years. My friend also told the story of what happened at her reception, naming Bridal and Gift and asked her friends to use this shop if they need anything for a wedding.
I LOVE IT HERE a MUST GO.
I have purchased 2 bridesmaid gowns and my wedding gown here, along with all 6 of my bridesmaids and 2 friends also got their gowns here. THey are fabulous. Saturdays can be crazy but they try and have a ton of girls on to help. Go first thing saturday morning or later in the afternoon or on a weekday so that you are sure to get all their attention!!!! It is worth every second you are there.
Luisa is amazing. She is so helpful and loves to dress you up and show you off to friends and make you feel like the most beautiful bride there is!
I highly recommend this store...They have a TON of GREAT gowns and their prices are very very reasonable. They have a second store down the street for discontinued gowns and alterations. GREAT GREAT GREAT PLACE A MUST VISIT If you are a bride in the area....
