This place was a very pleasant surprise. We were coming from Quincy and visiting New Bedford for the first time. We had asked someone directions to the best water view in the area which featured a lighthouse to take some pictures. We were told it was Butler’s Flats Lighthouse in New Bedford’s south end. This is where we found Davy’s Locker. Dinning often in and around Boston, I was amazed at the freshness, and quality of the scrod and everything else we had. We ate at the bar and our bartender informed us that they have 101 Martinis to choose from on the menu and 20 varieties of Samuel Adams beer. While we didn’t try them all (for obvious reasons), the ones we did were superb. The bartender was very attentive, and professional. The food was every bit as good as Boston.
always a pleasure

Whether it’s the classic standard like broiled scrod, fried clams or baked stuffed shrimp, or the new upscale, contemporary cuisine of today featuring Chef Johnny’s Mozambique, Asian sesame salmon, or Cavatappi shrimp….. The food at Davy’s Locker never disappoints, the service is good, and the view is even better.
local favorite

Anyone who thinks this place is slipping might want to make a doctor’s appointment and see if their mind might be slipping. My wife and I have gone to Davy’s locker for over 35 years and haven’t had a bight meal yet, not once. Try the broiled scallops and seafood linguini, it’s our favorites.

LOVE THIS PLACE

Whether it’s been at Davy’s locker main restaurant or at their waterfront tiki bar, my family and I have always found the food to be of very good quality, reasonably priced, and well serviced. I prefer the upper deck patio, but my better-half gives her thumbs up to the tiki bar. Either way you can’t go wrong.
