Kevin doesn't care about your business whatsoever. I have to say I was very disappointed in my experience with the Hive. I had called and set up an appointment with Kevin for an early Saturday evening. When I arrived for my appointment, Kevin was not ready to tattoo. He didn't know who I was, or why I was there, or even what my tattoo was, even though we had discussed it on the phone when I made the appointment. While he finished cleaning up his painting, another person walked in and wanted an estimate on a tattoo he was looking to get, and Kevin took a few minutes to chat with him, then went outside to have a smoke, and disappeared from view with a cigarette in one hand and his phone in the other, leaving us alone in the store. My appointment was at 5:30, and at about ten to 6 he walked back in. At this point we were already getting ready to leave, and when my husband said as much, and that it was very unprofessional to leave customers waiting and clueless, Kevin replied that we were "small" and to get out of his shop. I was very bummed because I was very impressed with his work I had seen online and was really looking forward to having such a talented artist work on me. It was frustrating and a huge let down to be treated so disrespectfully. Thankfully I was able to walk in to another parlor and get my ink done. Being a mom of two, my free time is very limited. As a fellow artist and in this case a customer, I would expect a higher level of common courtesy. If there was some other pressing matter that had Kevin's attention or not, we couldn't tell, he definitely handled it in the worst manner possible, and I'm sorry to have such an awful story to tell of my time at the Hive.
