Tips for Big Fish

It was horrible and now it is closed..... Big Fish couldn't hold a candle to Hemmenway's or Legal Seafood and had no right charging the prices they did. The good news is they closed the restaurant. It is now "closed for rennovations and our new concept something something roadhouse". Obviously the majority of the people in the area felt the same way I did about Big Fish.

Bad day. I went to the Big Fish today. I ordered a cranberry juice and a lobster bisque. The food was very good for a good price. That's all.

The receptionist was impolite and rude. I did wait 30 mn for my drink and I had the bisque more than 1h after I ordered it.

I entered the restaurant at 12:30 and left at 12:30... for a bowl of soup.

Don't go there for lunch if you have plans for the afternoon.

Great place for a party. We had attended a Birthday party at Big Fish. We had a BLAST!

The food was wonderful, the service was quick and the drinks rocked!

We had the entire front room for our event which worked out great for us.

If you havent been there in a while... you really should give it a try again!

Worst service ever!. I've been to Big Fish twice, and both times I experienced inexplicably bad service for a restaurant charging these prices. The first time, my party (only four of us) waited nearly an hour for our dessert order. During that time, we were completely ignored by all waitstaff. We finally had to flag someone down and request the check, sans dessert which we no longer had time to enjoy. The second time, we watched table after table be served while we waited, again nearly an hour, for our entrees. When we asked to see a manager, there was none in the building. When we asked what had taken so long, our waitress was rude and defensive. We won't be back for a third try.

A treat from the sea. Our evening meal at Big Fish could not have been better. As a group of four Texans trying out new seafood selections for the first time we were extremely pleased with the menu explanation and the service which was handled with friendliness and skill. The roasted littleneck clam starter was feasted upon by all of us. Additional bread was brought promptly to take advantage of the sauce. Our Angry lobster, blackened swordfish and lobster boulongese entrees were flavorful and satisfying.

The dessert Strawberry shortcake was adorned with a birthday greeting ans candles for this special event. We had fun with the viewmaster dessert presentation and the fortune fish...you'll just have to go see. The interior is smart, fun and sassy. Thank y'all for a memorable evening.

The hip crowd comes for heaping servings of tasty seafood and fun touches like a 3-D martini menu.. In Short
A neon green-lit atrium complete with waterfalls gives way to a dining room that is part industrial warehouse, part sports bar, and part family-style lobster shack. A plasma television screening underwater scenes soothes diners. Two menu stars are the Big Party (a towering arrangement of raw shrimp, clams, oysters and sushi) or the flavorful, juicy, miso-cured codfish. Finish your meal with the sublimely creamy creme brulee.

a must see. Big Fish is a must see and taste. From the free valet parking, the waterfall entrance, plasma screen tvs, jellyfish lights, scratch & sniff menus, need i go on. The menu beats any other place in town, from seafood to steaks, pizzas and pasta, nothing is left out. Still not satisfied try one of the nightly specials, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys food and fun. You will not be disappointed. Try to get seated in the "love shack" which is normally held only for VIPs.

My New Favorite Place in Providence. I discovered Big Fish just a few months ago, and I find myself not going anywhere else. In fact, we just had a dinner party for 20 there and everyone had a great time! From the valet parking to the waterfall when you walk in, I never get bored. Love the Vue-Finder drink menu too! Oysters are awesome, bathrooms are not to be missed. I find something new everyday!

Slightly Disappointed. I have to say, being a HUGE fan of 10 Steak and Sushi as well as XO Cafe we couldn't wait to try Big Fish. The atmosphere was good, the service even better but the food lacked a little to be desired in my opinion. I expected a little bit better quality in the types of entrees, although the fish was extremely fresh!

We won't desert the group, we still love the other two!
