Editorial Review for Outback Steakhouse – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

I travel all over the country for work. I am always pleased to find an Outback. They are the most consistent of any chain i've been to. There staff always aim to please and glad to rectify any shortcomings. I've never had a steak overcooked at any outback. (I like mine med. rare) Recently I switched from my favorite Outback Special (12 oz sirloin ) to the Victoria filet mignon, it was awesome, I could've cut it with a fork..
Pros: excellent food, great service, inexpensive
Cons: very busy 6-9 pm, expect a wait 35 mins
