This place is TERRIBLE. I have been to this restaurant several times over the past few years and the place is really heading downhill. They have recently changed chefs and the new menu is AWFUL. The service is Ok with the exception that you must wait forever for your food. We were a party of 4 and the restaurant was fairly empty and we still waited over an hour for our food. I cant imagine the wait when there are actually people in the restaurant, which according to our server there are NEVER many customers in the restaurant anymore and with good reason. The manager was a total JOKE and seemed as though he didnt have a clue when we had questions about the service and food. Overall the place is overpriced and certainly not worth the money or the wait so do not even waste your time. I would rate this restaurant as one of the worst in East Greenwich.

What a great place!. We just visited the Post office cafe after recommendation. The food was great...the service was great. We started the night off at the bar, that was great enough...the bartender was young, very out going, and funny that just set the night for my wife and I. She recommened great bottles of wine and some appetizers we coudldstart off with. I reccomend this place for any night of the week. The bartender informed us of there great sunday brunch...we have reservations for next sunday!

Editorial Review. Housed in a former post office this Italian restaurant has an authentic Italian menu and extensive wine list.

Poor Customer Relations. The restaurant may look nice but they lack in customer service. I called on Saturday to find out the hours on Sunday so we could celebrate my mother-in-law's 90th birthday in style. The girl on the telephone was cordial and social but when we arrived the next day, we were told they were closed for a private party. After driving more than 45 minutes, we could not even eat! To say the least we were more than upset. Why did the girl not tell us they were going to be closed for a private party?? Upon arrival, we were simply told they were closed; no more than a "sorry" was given. You would think the people answering the telephone would be aware of the goings on in the restaurant. We had a gift certificate to try the restaurant but we have thrown it away after such off-handed treatment. Beware when calling, be sure to ask if they are open for public dining or you may be in the same situation we were. My mother-in -law was very disappointed and now has no interest in returning. My husband is the one who threw the gift certificate in the trash, so he will not be eating there either. Just remember, he will tell two people, and they will each tell two people...

Great Food & Service. Wait time was resonable, maître d' very socialable, waiters and waitress excellent. ambience was acceptable; but not romantic. Excellent drinks and service. Restrooms very clean.

Can't say enough about the food. It too was excellent. I'd say one of the best in the state. The presentation of the dish was beautiful. Family and friends alike was very impress from Appitizers to Dessert. Their chief is probably the best in the state. He came out and socialize with the customers and does his best to cook to your satisfaction. I understand that he made a special menu for people with allegies to certain foods. The menu had the chief"s name as Tom Del Mastro. Kudo's to him!

Don't Bother. With the exception of the food, the entire experience was horrible. Martini tasted watered down, two bottles of wine were tainted, service was terrible, and the staff turned the place into a personal hangout as the patrons thinned out. To top it off, the valets had alreday gone out drinking when our car was still unaccounted-for. We had to find it ourselves. May have been great in the past, but the mighty have fallen.
