We Love NRIAH!. Dr Jeffrey Logan of Northern RI Animal Hospital has cared for our beloved companion animals for almost 20 years. He is not only an excellent veterinarian but a kind and compassionate person. We have been fortunate that our dogs and cats have lived to very advanced ages and we believe that it is directly related to the excellent care they received at NRIAH. The staff at NRIAH is amazing and we have always been treated with kindness, patience, and extraordinary compassion. We highly recommend NRIAH!

Thieves who Try to Sell Overpriced Un-needed Services. We used to take our many pets there - no longer. Several months ago we took our then 11-year old female cat, who was having problems eating and with her mouth. The vet who looked at her completely disregarded wghat I told her about the cat's symptoms (As in, SHE DIDN'T LISTEN!) - and then proceeded to tell us that our cat probably had some form of cancer.

The vet suggested x-rays - which we had there. The X-rays (surprise!) were inconclusive and the vet suggested we take our cat to another service that could provide ultrasound diagnosis - at a cost of about $400 (which we never got, not believing this to be the actual problem). When we repeatedly asked but what about the cat's mouth? she said that "wasn't the problem. Teeth and jaws are fine..." etc.

Gave us antibiotics which we were happy to use. A week later, when trying to give the cat her pill - she shook her head and one of her eyeteeth went flying out!

I sent the head of this veterinary practice a 3-page letter documenting our bad experience with his business, and never even received the courtesy of a reply.

Since then, we make the long trek (a good half-hour drive) to Pascoag, to the SNYPP Clilnic. Their costs are FAR more reasonable - and more importantly to us, they actually listen to their patients' (anima;s) caregivers (humans)!!! We did take our cat there after her tooth went flying, and the vet looked at her and said that the infected tooth was her problem all along. ---But Northern RI Vet Services would have had us pay THOU$ANDS for un-needed services - and scared us to boot.

We have heard similar experiences from other friends and neighbors who USED TO use this vet - but no longer do because the vet is clearly more focused on making $$$ than caring for your pets.

In addition, as I said above, we have several pets. This vet says they give a 10% discount if you have several pets -- but if you miss your annual appt. by as little as a week for any ONE of these pets - you cannot get the discount on any of them. Another example of greed - and a total LACK of understanding of how to build customer loyalty!

THIS IS WHY you constantly see their ads in the Valley Breeze - they need to constantly get new customers after they've chased the old ones away with their lousy service!
