Great for dance and gymnastics!!!. I love S.C.M.C! I have gone there for 6 years and I have some of my best friends i met there. The coaches are amazing and they are always there for you for whatever you might need. It is just so much fun to be apart of something as special as S.C.M.C. I higly reccomend this place!

A Wonderful place with great coaches!!. South County Movement Center is a wonderful place to send your children to learn dance or gymnastics. The coaches are very dedicated and professional. My children have been attending SCMC for almost 12 yrs. It is amazing how much they have learned and it is exciting to watch over the years their progress. The coaches are available to talk to at all times and they truly do a great job with the kids.

I would like to comment on another review listed, the one regarding "Destroying Self Image". I think that whoever wrote this should be ashamed of themselves at how they are attempting to destroy the reputation of a very nice person. First of all, she is no longer the owner and SCMC is under new ownership. Also, this so called comment happened over 11 years ago. If someone has nothing good to say, they should say nothing at all. Obviously, this person had issues and still does regarding her own self image and is trying to put the blame on one comment made to her at the tender age of 12 where basically anything anyone says to a young girl is usually taken the wrong way and way too personally. So true! She needs to be discussing her issues with her therapist and not online in an attempt to hurt a very good persons reputation. Loveyourself, you should have thought with your head and be embarrassed that you would write this.

If I was your mom, I would give you a lecture on how to be nice to people! Your negativity is very sad.

South County Destroy Your Self Esteem Center. When I was 12 years old my love for gymnastics had me begging my mom please please please can I take gymnastics. We found SCMC signed up and there I was soo excited to be doing what I loved, I was in a group of great girls, some I am still friends with to this day. I will never forget the day Miss Sandi was spotting me on the balance beam. For those of you who dont know Miss Sandi is probably about 5 feet tall and has no business spotting anyone on a balance beam. Needless to say I was about 5'6" and looking back at myself now I realize I was very very thin. I fell off the beam and Miss Sandi yelled at me "GEEZ YOUR GONNA HAVE TO HELP ME HERE I CANT SUPPORT YOUR WEIGHT."

I am now 23 years old and have struggled with body image issues ever since. I used to go to extreme measures and put my body at harm to always try to be thinner thinner thinner. Her words play over in my head still to this day. I still think about it when Im sad about how I look and think how dare she say that to any 12 year old girl. I cried so hard I could not breathe on the way home from gymnastics that night, even when we got home I stayed up all night crying so hard I got sick.

To make a long story short I would never send my daughter here. Girls worry about their bodies enough with out Miss Sandi constantly putting them down. I dont know how that woman is allowed to work with children. She is truly a rotten human being.

The Best Gymnastics and Dance in RI/CT. They are the Greatest!!!. The Best for Dance and Gymmastics!! My daughter has been going there for 3 years. Instructions are very personable and a low teacher to student ratio to maximize learning and fun. Highly Recomnended!! Miss Sandi and her girls are second to none!! I would recommend trying out a class, you will be back for more!!
