Fantastic restaurant by any measure, best Vegetarian I've had.

How to start?!
It was fantastic.
I had dinner @ Garden Grill last night with Liz. She is vegetarian, I am confirmed carnivore.
I've been dragged to dedicated Veg restaurants before, and never been impressed, and often been very disappointed.
NOT SO with Garden Grill.
Wow, the place was jumping (approx 7:15pm) with a line to get in. We managed to get a good seat in half the time we were told to expect.
Staff was with us immediately to take our drink order and welcome us. This prompt polite service remained the case all evening, with never a moment I was waiting for wait staff. Even the return of my charge card was in record time.
I had the rather carnivore friendly Burrito and garden Salad, Liz had the Veg Meatloaf special.
The burrito was one of the best I have had, rice black beans quac, etc. but it was on a huge toasted whole wheat wrapper that was tasty on its own. The thing was huge and satisfied this Steak Eaters appetite completely!
The "Meatloaf" (vegan of course) was also amazing, a complex yet well choreographed combo of flavors and sauces. For a real veg head it was heaven, for me it was pretty fantastic as well, and exposed me to a level of vegetarian cuisine I did not think was possible.
We than shared the Carrot Cake with some of the very fine decaf they serve. Excellent, subtle cake.
It was a perfect evening, and I did not for one second miss the fact that we were next to to a Rib Joint!
I found Rob, the Owner that night to express my thanks at being so well taken care of.
We got out of there totally satisfied with 3 courses and our beers for about $50.00 before gratuity.
Considering that I would rank the whole evening up there with Providence's very best restaurants, that was a VERY affordable and well spent night out.
Folks, if you are a Veg, RUN don't walk to this fine establishment.
If your a Carnivore like me, fear not! I was completely satisfied, and in fact loved it.
5 Michelin Stars from me :-)
- Pros: Amazing food, top service, nice atmosphere and extremely reasonble on the wallet.
- Cons: Well gee, we had to wait to get in! No surprise there.
Bad Service

Very good vegetarian and vegan food, but too expensive. Bad service, the waitstaff never looks happy to see you and loves turning people away. Very slow service especially when there busy which seems to be always...
- Pros: Great Veg Food
- Cons: Bad Customer Service
Incredibly delicious!

We recently moved to Rhode Island from NY after a three year stay in Colorado, and were looking for a place with great choices for vegetarians (I'm one, my guy is not). We've tried Garden Grille once and can't wait to go back. Both of us agree, this place is fantastic. I had a cajun tempeh and my guy had a burrito, both of which were full of flavor and the tempeh was remarkably moist and cooked perfectly. This is the first place in ten years that I have found that has surpassed my favorite veg restaurant that no longer exists in NY (Santosha)...and trust me, that was a pretty high standard to reach! The beer selection was great too. They even had an old favorite from a local Denver brewery (no, NOT the one that advertises on TV).
- Pros: great tasting food, nice size menu
- Cons: no complaints from me
