RUDE!. They are indeed rude! Was with my sister checking out and the employee had a conversation with the person in back of me the whole entire time I was there. Wouldn't have been half bad if they spoke in ENGLISH! Never acknowledged my presence, just kept on yakking! Never said thank you come again so I won't! I'll pay more at Joann's Fabrics where they say hi and thank you. Niegreczny & nieswiadomy! Vczyc'sie Angielski jak my nie! Which means in Polish: Rude and Ignorant, Learn English like we did!

I agree w/Sippy Cup!. I have always found the help in that store to be rude and disrespectful. I was in the store last weekend, and it was getting close to closing time -- within ten minutes of entering the store we had been told that the store would be closing in a short while a MINIMUM of four times.

However, I wouldn't think of bringing a child into a fabric store with any kind of food or drink in hand. If the child were crying/misbehaving, etc. I would immediately remove him/her so as not to make shipping for others unpleasant, and come back at a time when I would not have the child with me.

I do like the store, though

Lorraine Fabrics ROCKS!. Whether your shopping for material, trim, notions... you will find it at Lorraine's. I've been a patron for years and have purchased material for quilts, trims to create unique lamp shades, unique buttons for crochet projects... if you need it, Lorraine has it. And even if you aren't shopping for a special project, just browsing will provide TONS of inspiration. I never leave empty handed.

In my experience, the staff is great. Whatever you'r looking for (in the textile genre), try Lorraine first.

Stop hating on the BEST FABRIC STORE. You with the sippy cup? I highly doubt thatt happened so calm your rolls and stop spreading lies about the store and the employess. Lorraine fabrics has such a diverse collections of fabrics trims and notions. The employees are always helpful and nice to everyone. I recommend everyone to check out lorraine fabrics ! You can find everything at great prices !!

The best place for fabrics, period.. I've been working with fabrics my whole life, and I hate going anywhere but Lorraine. I always find what I need, and their discounted second floor area is INTENSE. I save so much money as opposed to any other fabric store in Rhode Island and Mass. I literally recommend Lorraine to everyone I come across who's looking to pick up a bit of fabric for ANY project.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY SHOULD HAVE A SECURITY SHOP INSTEAD OF A FABRIC SHOP BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY RULES. I WENT INTO THE SHOP WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD IN A CARRIAGE AND HE WAS DRINKING FROM A SIPPIE CUP. A SALES GIRL WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO TELL ME THAT I COULD NOT HAVE DRINKS IN THE STORE. I TRIED TO TAKE THE CUP AWAY FROM HIM BUT HE STARTED CRYING. SHE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO EITHER LEAVE THE STORE THAT VERY MINUTE OR GET RID OF THE CUP.

I DECIDED THAT NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT AND LEFT AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK. THE FLOORS ARE FILTHY AND THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT WATER FROM A SIPPIE CUP.
