Hi , I went into the Emergancy Room last April with what I thought was a Stomach Flu, it ended up to be much more serious! I had Ishemic Colitis, and had to have 1/3 of my colon removed, I was only 39-year's old., and had no symptom's until that very morning. Dr Casci in Emergancy noticed right away something was not right, he had Dr. Capuano come in it was 4am at that time I had been there since 6pm sunday. There are not enough word's to thank Dr. Casci and Dr. Capuano for all there support. I was vey scared because I have had Cancer in the past and both the Dr.'s put me right at ease. I stayed in the Borda Wing for a week, and everyone on the floor was very kind and answered any question's I had. I just recently had a Colonoscopy in Dec. and Dr. Basel preformed that and he also put me at ease, I was afraid because the incision is still sore, but he made it very comfortable. We are still looking to find out why this happened to me so young, usually it happen's in the elderly. I just want to let people know that South County Hospital is no hick place, they are very state of the art and the staff is excellant. I am glad I went there, because if I had not , it could have been deadly. It is a part of my colon that had no oxygen going to it.So I just want to Thank Everyone at The Hospital , they were excellant and I would recommend it to anybody. Thank you all at South Count Hospital! Sincerely, Beth Johnson-Lessard
Pros: When I came in they were very fast to find out about the problem.
Cons: The Borda Wing is way too hot!!
