Editorial Review for Neath's New American Bistro – by Dawn Keable
The Scene
This upscale spot epitomizes warmth, both in decor and spirit. The cozy second-floor dining space, featuring an open kitchen and a wall of windows overlooking the Providence River, is a toasty mix of orange-yellow sponge-painted walls, burgundy accents, rustic wooden floors and dark brown posts and beams. The efficient, yet unobtrusive staff takes its hard-working lead from chef/owner Neath Pal, who often pops up from behind the grill to make sure everyone's happy.
The Food
The neo-Asian influence really stands out in this multicultural menu of flavorful, light and healthy cuisine. Served cold with a peanut dipping sauce, the soft spring rolls--stuffed with super-fresh shrimp, bean sprouts and Thai basil--are big enough to share. Ultra moist wood grilled chicken, seasoned with a lemongrass rub, arrives over green papaya and Thai basil salad. Just as rich, the lobster is simmered in a blend of red curry and coconut milk.

Neath is a great guy and a great chef, and I can't wait to see where his next location is going to be, but this place has been closed for a year. It would be nice to have an updated list of restaurants, and real reviews.
Pros: Great Chef
Cons: Closed

I love this place. I had a great time here. Their fish was fantastic and I tend to be very picky about fish. Decent wine selection. The service was very friendly despite the fact that I did not feel appropriately dressed. The place is a little bit nice so maybe don't wear jeans and tshirts, but casual clothes are okay. I love this place. I had a lot of fun there. Take your family. Great for dates.
Pros: Food. Service. Atmosphere
Cons: price. dress nicely, not for the lazy dressers.
