Best Dance Music In R.I.. If your looking to dance all night, then this is the place for you. From Stevie B. to the lastest club music, there is something for everyone. The Artbar has a walk into your parlor like atmosphere, where you can go an enjoy the evening without the fear of a fight breaking out at any given moment. Most of the people have been long time patrons of the club, and know each other. Will you meet Mister Right, probably not, but if your looking for a good dance partner for the night, there are plenty of those, and tons of smiles to go around.
The ART BAR is a friendly place to dance and have a good time. If you think you are better than anyone else don't go there. There are no arrogant people wanted. The family at the ART BAR treats everyone the same. Go there with an open mind , the idea that you are there to have a good time will make your vist more fun and interesting.
Most clubs are designed for singles but the ART BAR atmosphere is for everyone. Come to dance and have a good time . Judge for yourself. I think you will be pleasantly suprised.
From the door staff to the DJ's there is something interesting about each of these hardworking people. Employees include a lawyer(Bar Staff), Pharmacy manager, ambulence owner, model, mom, dad, and more. They are everyday people who want you to have a good time. If Friday or Saturday night is inconvenient for you try Thursday or Sunday(my favorite night). The same great music and more room to dance. Drink specials are available on Sun. and Thurs. as well as a more relaxed atmosphere.
Remember it is always 25+.
Run away! Run from this stale place that draws in an ignorant, far from classy desperate crowd. Don't bother calling to ask about the dress code because you'll get sized up the leathery not so fab five and if she (or he, I couldn't tell) doesn't like you. It will wrinkle it's lips and shake its head and say "uh uh". The lack of grammar, sophistication, and simple courtesy makes Wal Mart a luxurious night out!
great place for dancing.. friday night dance hot spot . bring a smile and your dancing shoes and you will love it there. the people are down to earth and friendly a real crowd pleaser.
Gross. I was bored stiff .. music was lame... crowd was not impressive... (and that's being kind)...very disappointing
A gem of a dance club in the Jewelry district keeps an over-25 crowd coming back..
This club is designed for those who wish to meet, drink and dance in a sophisticated setting. Overstuffed chairs, plush couches, and black velvet drapes lend a sense of elegance made even grander by the huge Victorian chandelier overhead. As DJs spin hits from the 70s onward, a crowd of mostly 20-somethings squeeze onto the color-changing dance floor as the high tech sound system floods the room with musical energy. An impressive marble-topped main bar plus a more intimate second bar keep neatly-dressed patrons hydrated and happy.
Worst Club Ever. In fairness, we decided to try this club again after a poor time about 6 months ago. Hard to believe, but it actually got worse. The staff is ok, and the drinks are fairly priced, but I cannot imagine a less cool place on the face of the planet. Bingo night at the local rest home would have a room full of cooler, and more interesting people. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to laugh your butt off.
Great Staff. The best part about this club is most definately the staff. The same staff is always there, every night. I think the female bartenders are very attractive and my female friends think that the male bartenders are very good looking. The most important thing however, is the fact that the staff obviously enjoys working with one another. They are mostly all smiles and in laughter most of the night. It is a pleasant end to a week when we can go somewhere that the "worker" don't make you miserable. I think what keeps that place going as well as it is, has to have something to do with the great looking, happy, friendly staff. If you don't belive me, then go to other clubs and pay attention to the staff there, then hit this place and see the difference.
Have fun with society's rejects!!. We went after a happy hour to keep the night going. For a place that claims to be elitist and selective, they should step it up a notch. It was a divorcee's paradise! We had fun with the crowd though. We bet each other money and drinks to dance with the lame-asses on the floor. The funny part was how receptive they were to us! Desperation on their part really...
