See modern favorites and silver-screen classics in the city's premier performing arts center..
In Short
On the National Register of Historic Places, Providence Performing Arts Center was originally a 3,200-seat Loews movie house. Prices are higher than when it opened in 1928, but shows are as good as ever. The beautifully restored art-deco theater has become the local stop for touring Broadway productions, including "Rent," "Stomp" and "Riverdance." The Masterpieces series shows classics like "Gone With the Wind" or "The Wizard of Oz" in the original full-sized format.
