Editorial Review for Rhode Island School of Design Museum Of Art – by Dawn Keable
The Scene
A good art museum might not be something that most college students have on their list of features when searching for their ideal school. But students at the Rhode Island School of Design surely can't imagine life without this valuable museum resource.
The Collection
Luckily, the general public has the same access as students to the museum's 85,000 works of art. Displayed in 45 galleries on three floors, the museum's collection includes works by French favorites Monet, Rodin, Matisse and Manet. One of the most popular pieces is a nine-foot-tall Buddha, who meditates alone in his own gallery. The museum's extensive inventory includes contemporary, ancient, Asian and decorative art. Whatever your preference, you'll find some artistic inspiration here.
