One of my favorite. Love Oki's Steakhouse, we always have a fun time when we go there. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Even my picky 6 year old will eat the veggies here.
Will never go back. We had reservations at 7:30 for a birthday dinner. We were not seated until 9. The prices were pretty high. After we received the bill of $300 they brought out a tiny piece of cake with a candle on it. The waitress then took our bill and added an extra 9.50 for that cake. I spoke with a manager because we were not told they would charge for this, we didnt ask for it. The manager would not remove that from the bill.
The new $5 appetizer menu is fantastic, it has a wide variety of foods to choose from and the sushi is fantastic.
The hibachi is highly overrated and over priced, I won't do that again, we spent way too much money and were disappointed.
Overall, the restaurant needs a thorough cleaning as it looks quite worn out and needs new decor.
If you sit at the tables near the bar,be prepared for a lot of noise as the TV is always on sports and the guys who hang out at the bar and usually pretty raw and loud. So beware of that.
Absolutley amazing. I go to okis on mondays an tuesdays for the 5dollar menu. The eel and avacado tempura roll for five dolars is awesome. Sit at sushi and you can be full for 15 dollars.
Go to SHOGUN.... My boyfriend and I decided we would try OKI's for the first time on valentines day. Yes the building was a little wierd but that was ok. It was when we waited forever our sushi that we started getting restless.. then we had to ask 3x for glasses to go with our saki.... then when our chef arrived to cook our food and our sushi still hadn't come the waitress arrived to tell us it would be coming soon. We told her to keep it was to late our food had arrived. Both her and the waiter both made a point to tell us the manager didnt have enough staff on and things were crazy. I will give credit where due the food was fantastic to bad we couldn't get our sushi served at the sushi restaurant! But things went down hill again when the bill came and they had charged us for the two sushi's we declined due to their tardiness. We were also charged us for an entire meal. I had to go find the manager and have him fix the bill. All in all they were over charging us $65. We will DEFFINATELY NOT be returning to OKI's nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. GO TO SHOGUN! SHOGUN HAS EXCELLENT FOOD SHOGUN HAS EXCELLENT WAIT STAFF AND SHOGUN IS CLEAN!!!!!!!!
DIRTY, scuzzy. Went there for a dinner with an out of town client becasue I heard it was good and while the food was good enough the place is DIRTY! The carpets are gross and the place needs a hose-down or something! It looks like it hasn't been renovated (ore really cleaned) since the 80's. It is wierd that it is in a strip mall... go someplace else for hibachi!
GOOD FOOD FOR RI.
I have to disagreed with comment people on last post. I had dinner last sat. the food is really good i have to say....and they didnt trick you with fried rice. white rice come with it and if you want fried rice you could order if u like...such a good exsperience to me and family...defenitely come again....
OKIS the Best......
Oki's not as good as it once was. The one good thing to say about Oki's is the food is good, still. But, for the money you pay, which is what you pay in 5 star restaurants ($25 a plate, come on) you should get a clean atmosphere and clean bathroom. When I first dined at Oki's 15 years ago, it was impressive. Now, the cooks cannot perfom the food tossing tricks well anymore, and the bathroom is dirty with overflowing wastebaskets and water all over the sink. It even smells. If they cannot keep their bathrooms clean, I wonder how clean the kitchen is? Oki's time has ended. About service: The last time I dined there, I made an 8pm reservation and waited until 8:45 to be seated. They also try to trick you into buying their fried rice when placing your order. (white rice is included in your meal) I cannot say I went on a bad night as the last 5 times I dined there I have been disappointed. There are a bunch of new Habachi restaurants cropping up in RI, check them out.
I LOVE OKIS.
I want to first off say that for those of you on here that have written bad reviews for Okis have either been there on a bad night (which I have yet to experience), or are just nit picking for no apparent reason, either way I couldn't disagree more with your opinions.
My fiance' and I have been to Oki's alone or with different groups of people on no less than a dozen different occasions and have had nothing but outstanding food and an outstanding experience. We went again tonight with 2 children and they LOVED IT!!! The chef put on an amazing show for the kids keeping us laughing the whole time. We also sat with another couple and their son whom also ranted and raved about the food and atmosphere. We go to Okis whenever we have the time to sit for a while and eat and also when we have the extra cash. The only complaint about Oki's I have is the seating. It is a little cramped, but so are all of the restaurants I've been to where they cook in front of you on a grill. Over all Oki's has never been anything but a wonderful experience for me and my family as well as any and all friends we have been there with. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE :)
Don't come here for habachi.
We just went there for habachi yesterday!
Once we got seattled down, I got a terrible smell from the area where i was.
The food I had, I couldn't say that was food at all, too salty.
I felt I was having soy sauce but not my steak.
We spend $100 on this meal for 2 people and Won't come back again.
Doesn't worth the price!
