Being very careful what I document....Let's just say that the place needs work. My Mom Joan T. McGill-Heed was interred there in January 2003. I trusted that she would be properly taken care of, as far as Perpetual Care of the cemetery....Big Mistake.
I fought with the Parks Dept. and Mayor David Cicilline, to no avail. I had her exhumed in June of 2005, and re interred in my Family Lot in Brooklyn, NY. Dignity, Respect at last.
Thank You Bob McMahon, Alix Ogden, and Carol Grant, and also a "Special" Thank You to the Honorable David Cicilline, Mayor of The "Renaissance City" of Providence.
Your Lack of Compassion and Humanitarianism enabled me to do what I should have done all along.
