Attention JFK fans! This East Side pastry shop is a little-known piece of Camelot history.. The Scene
Wayland Bakery supplied John and Jackie's wedding cake in 1953. A black-and-white photo of the stylish couple cutting the tiered creation proves it. Not much has changed here since then. In business since 1928, Wayland Bakery sticks to tried and true recipes, as it bakes all goods on the premises: pies, pastries, fruit squares and eclairs (which get fed cream from both ends to ensure no disappointingly dry final bite).
