via via IV.
Despite their strict minimum fee regarding credit cards, the actual pizza at via via is very good. They offer huge slices and a variety of different types of pizzas to choose from. The people and the actual place seem a little sketchy but having been eating there since I was little, and having gotten to know the people who work there, I can say that they are some of the nicest and hardest working people I've met.
Their pastas and sandwiches are average but their pizzas are amazing.
Great Pizza. The pizza is excellent. The best on this side of town. Skip the pasta
The best in Provi..
I am from NY area and i think the pizza up here is horrible. However Via Via is the only pizza that some what resembles the NYC thin slice. Only place I will order from. The salads, pizza, wings and fried calamari have all come to my house and were all great.
Also the delivery is fantastic I have called in an order and was eating it 20 mins after.
The only thing is when you call in they are very strange and a few times i have had my order over charged by a few dollars when paying with credit card.
Via Via = Ignorant.
I ordered from Via Via enough to have a fair say in the fact that they are shady. They try and impose a minimum order if you use a credit card, but only if you use a credit card. Ironically enough, they are simply trying to save on a $0.30 fee from their processor. The best part is, its actually against their terms of service. If they (or any vendor for the matter) tells you there is a minimum order to be able to use a credit card, ask them how many times they have been reported for violating their contracts. Enough people report them, they lose their right to process credit cards, and it ends up costing them a lot more than 30 lousy cents. Via Via, you are one broke organization.
This is from Visa's website. I tried emailing it to Via Via, but they are too cheap to even have their own website. The $9.95 a month is too much for them.
Visa merchants are not permitted to establish minimum transaction amounts, even on sale items. They also are not permitted to charge you a fee when you want to use your Visa card.
If you run into a problem like this with a merchant, please notify the financial institution that issued you your Visa card. These institutions have access to the appropriate Visa rules and regulations and can help you document and file your complaint. You'll find their address and/or telephone number on your Visa statement. Their telephone number may also appear on the back of the card itself.
Won't Deliver?. Well I was at work looking for a place to order some dinner. I look in our menu book and see a menu for VIA VIA with the address of my place of work. Obviously had been mailed here. The menu says FREE DELIVERY. My work is 2.5 miles away from VIA VIA. After taking my order the guy tells me it's too far. So why send me a menu? I've ordered from places that are 5 or 6 miles away and they don't complain. Now I won't go there.
