This has been one of our favorites since moving to Providence. It may not be fancy, but it is good food with great service.
- Pros: good food; generous servings
Best Dim Sum So Far in Providence
by bras
Although only the second Providence dim sum establishment we have tried the quality far exceeded that of Phoenix Dragon. Our experience may have been a little biased by the fact that we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, so the service was exceptional as was the food. While not comparable to Hong Kong or even Seattle, it is fresh authentic dim sum at a reasonable price.
- Pros: Service, Quality, Price
- Cons: Ambiance
Over-priced and poor quality take-out.

I can't speak for their Hong Kong Style or their Dim Sum but this was the single worst experience I've had with American style Chinese restaurant in years. The food was over-priced and of poor quality. They served Fried Wanton that was nothing more than Fried dough crumpled up to appear as though it had been stuffed. They then tried to convince me that was all it was supposed to be. I've had a lot of Chinese food (American Style or otherwise) and I've never come across that. They may very well have excellent Dim Sum or Hong Kong style food but I will never know as I will be never returning to the Lucky Garden.
