By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced! After I purchased the dress they could care less about providing a friendly experience. They charged me an extra $355 in extras and alterations, a little heads up would have been nice. The day of my wedding was the first time I put the dress on after the alterations had been done. The ceremony was beautiful but when my sister went to bustle the dress for the first time the buttons simply fell off! My wedding planner had to use safety pins to hold the dress together for my entire wedding night. I am a roll with it kind of gal but figured Ana's would comp me later. I went to see Ana and when I explained
What happened she said "impossible buttons don't just fall off". I assured her that they did, the very first time buttoning them in front of many witnesses. Her answer was to call me a liar and suggest I must have done it later when dancing or being rough (this was not the case), it was my fault she told me. I asked if she would have the dress cleaned for me or refund my the cost if alterations and she said "absolutely not! Buttons just fall off sometimes and that's normal". I asked if she really felt that it was "Normal" for buttons to fall of her dresses, forcing her brides to use safety pins to fix her work, to which she replied, "yes sometimes it just happens". Very disturbed I went to leave and let them know I would be leaving negative feedback and that I worked in customer service and this was the worst I'd ever come across. That's when they chased me out the door yelling that it was my fault and if I left bad feedback they'd sue me. I was a little freaked out by their growing aggression. I got in my car and when I was trying to leave a shop girl almost blocked me in and started to honk at me while I was trying to cross 2 lanes of traffic to exit. I had to stop at a traffic light and she actually pulled up along side of me yelling at me to roll down my window, and that she was just defending the store and that it really must have been my fault. She was very angry and I felt threatened. I was happy to finally see her and the shop disappear into my rear view.
I have never had such great service before. I mean Ive been to other places before, but I have never received such friendly and personalized help before. Normally I wouldnt go out of my way to leave a good comment, I usually left comments if something has gone wrong and I'm mad about something. But in this case I was so happy with my experience that I felt I should give them my support! I'm from the East Providence area so I will assure you that they did a good job!
I am a mentor through the Big Sister's program and I wanted to write to you to thank you for your generosity. By you contacting Big Sisters of Rhode Island, my Little Sister was able to attend her junior prom. My Little Sister had a beautiful gown from Ana's Bridal, which you provided for her. Because of your generosity, she participated in a major event in a high school student's life. I cannot thank you enough.
AVOID ANA'S!!! I'm very belatedly reviewing after the horrible treatment I received as part of my cousin's bridal party. Ana was all smiles on the day we purchased our dresses, but it ended there.
She measured us for our dresses, which all came in much smaller than anticipated (and much smaller than the sample dress in the store). While this was clearly the fault of the manufacturer, she refused to take any action to fix the situation or to cover the cost for the one dress that needed to be re-ordered (after much switching of dresses amongst the girls).
I was pregnant at the time -- see where this is going? -- and although the sample dress was enormous on me, the same-size dress I purchased was too tight. But that was MY fault for selfishly choosing to start a family when my cousin was getting married. (A direct quote from Ana herself!) The 5 lbs I'd gained at that point in my pregnancy was clearly at fault, not the dressmaker.
Luckily, I was able to swap dresses with another bridesmaid who'd lost weight before the wedding. The much larger dress had to be taken in, and although Ana had promised before we'd ordered that the dress could be tailored to fit a pregnant belly, once push came to shove, that was suddenly an impossibility. She flat out lied to me about alterations that had supposedly been done, and when questioned would tell me that what I was requesting (which we'd agreed on the day before!) was impossible.
I made 4 trips to her shop the week of the wedding for alterations that never happened. (Did I mention that I was 6 months pregnant? I was NOT amused at having to trek out to East Providence multiple times to be treated shabbily!!)
The bridesmaids all looked horrible the day of the wedding. The alterations on our very pricey dresses were all shabbily done, and we looked ridiculous.
Please do not buy your dresses here.... – I have 6 bridesmaids and they all were fitted for their dresses and put their deposits down the same day. I was told the dresses would take 3-4 months to come in which was kind of cutting it close but I went with it. They told me the dresses would be in mid-March, and its now April and they will not tell me anything! All they keep saying is "when they come in we'll let you know" that is NOT something you want to here when your wedding is fast approaching. The salesperson Jade, is beyond rude and is never helpful. I'll write another review if and when my dresses ever come in.
If I had read these reviews before going to that store I would have NEVER gone there..
Terrible – Rented tuxedo for a wedding (entire party rented there)
They overcharged for shoes that they didn't rent, refused to take credit card when tuxedo was picked up (contract says store accepts cash or credit) pointed me to a gas station to get cash.
Not nice people, go somewhere else.

Hello Michelle Aqampora, we are very sorry that the designer delayed your order. unfortantley we have no control on when or what the the designer sends to the store. all we can do is wait patienly and call them until we get an exact day or time. we accommidated you on many ways. YOU ONLY PAID A DEPOSIT on your dress WE PAIDED FOR YOUR ALTERATIONS AND WE PAID THE REMAINDING OF YOUR DRESS. im very diappointed that you came and gave us an untrue review. i believe everyone has the right to state the TRUTH THE COMPLETE TRUTH! yes you do live 2hrs and 3 mins away thats why we waited for you and made alterations done to your dress in 20 min at our cost even though it wasnt our fault. you were in and out of our store in 20 mintues. also you ordered your dress 4-6-2011 bridesmaids gowns take in approxmate of arrival of 3-4 months. it arrived on 9-2-2011. we do value your business thats why we did what we could to help you out.
THEY ARE AWFUL!! DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS! – I don't know where to begin, they have been awful since the whole process started. The main thing is, my sister ordered her bridesmaid dress when we all did in April. Her's was supposed to come in August. The wedding is TOMORROW and it didn't come in until THIS AFTERNOON. The whole time they gave us attitude when we called to check in on it. Then, they call her in the middle of our rehearsal dinner in Narragansett tonight and they told her she had to leave and come in asap to get the dress fitted because the seamstress had plans later. AND GET THIS, this is what they said when she told them she was in the middle of the rehearsal dinner: "What's more important, your dress or eating food." I KID YOU NOT! They made no consessions to make the situation right, and did nothing but give attitude throughout the whole process. And that was just with my sister, let alone the stress and inconvenience they gave me and my mother. We were nothing but nice to them even though they were bitches to us. They actually made my sister cry in front of my whole family while she was on the phone with them. I will NEVER go back, and I am putting reviews on every possible website I can. DO NOT go there and give them business. I can't believe how unprofessional, unorganized, and horribly attituded they are. They are awful people and should be ashamed of themselves.
we kept you posted every single time you called. we also gave your bridesmaid the dress for 1/2 the cost and free alterations.we had her in for alterations yes in and out within 20 mintues.we have no control over what the designer does. please state the truth we called her at 12:00pm.she didnt even call us back we never said eating food she was at dinner and we told her isnt the dress more important than dinner right now. im glad in the end everything worked out well.
Agree with many of the reviews on here – Although I heard a few good things about the store, my overall experience was less than desirable. Every bride dreams of the experience of picking out her dress, going for the fittings, etc., however I dreaded every bit of it. My bridesmaids, who purchased their dresses at this store did also. I will give credit to the owner that with one picture of a dress I supplied to her that I loved the look of, but not the price tag, she was able to pick out something similar almost instantly. After that it went down hill, from receiving a dirty petticoat I spent two hundred dollars on, to receiving little help when trying on my dress, to trying to get in touch with them and not being able to get someone to answer the phone, it was all very aggravating. Every bride knows that planning a wedding, at times, can be stressful, but the stress should not come from dress aspect of the wedding.
im sorry you feel this way concering of our petty coats are not 200.00 they are only 80. im sorry that getting in touch with us is diffcult but we are serving numerous of brides and wedding partys that we try to accomdate everyone. our store hours are very accomedating we try to get back to everyone within 48 hrs. as for helping you try on your dress we are always the room away and we assit everyone we dont enter the room until you ask for us due to privacy reason im sorry for any incovience
Just wanted to send a hug "Thank you" your way for all your help with my wedding gown. the gown was absolutely stunning on my big day I'm referring several friends to Ana's I've told them you carry the best gowns around ! Thank you For everything.
