great place Becky is aweome with Kids with Autism.
I have been taking my son who has Autism to Becky for hair cuts for about 15 years. She has been open and flexible right from the beginning and was always willing to work with me to make it a good experience for him. Now he begs to go see becky for a Haircut.
Also, because he doesn't like the feel of the little hairs on his head and neck, Becky washes his hair AFTER his hair cut, because she knows he likes and needs it.
I go to Becky and so does my adult daughter. She does an excellent job on all of us.
I would highly reccomend Becky to anyone.
Great UpDos in Fun Environment.
Hair Antics was recommended by a former work colleague. I spent three years in Providence and never managed to find a hairstylist I liked. (That said, I'm from NYC and we have amazing folks here.) I went to Kyle for a trial up-do for my wedding and he was great. While updos are easy, they can look staid and too "prom" like. Kyle did 2-3 styles, tweaking the look accordingly. He is easy to work with and the price for an updo can't be beat ($35). Additionally, he is willing to travel to the site the day of the wedding.
While the salon isn't super nice the folks are down to the earth. It has a hometown feel and it's a welcoming environment. If you're looking for super plushy and chic this isn't it. However, if you're looking for solid service this place is very good. I would have given it a rating of 4.5 stars. All of the women exiting the salon looked fab. They have a large cross-section of clients. The older women looked great--nice blow-outs.
I can't comment on having my haircut--but I would be willing to give it a go.
