Great Hole-in-the Wall Place

It's unlike any other place. It's unique and fun and you have to go there at least once or twice to even get a handle on their beer selection. Go on a Thursday!

• Cons: Can be pretty crowded

Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, in your belly and mixed together: This neighborhood pub loves its suds.

The Scene
Often crowded, this college staple attracts a healthy mix of Brown students and Providence locals. It's packed to the rafters on Thursday raffle nights, when you can win anything from a key chain to a much-coveted beer sign (a must for any dorm room).

The Booze
With 99 domestics and imports, this is a gold mine for beer lovers. Thirteen beers on tap are served in your choice of the typical pint or, for the more adventurous, 20-ounce, 28-ounce and 34-ounce mugs. Though this is a beer kingdom, you can also get a mean mixed drink. The bartenders are adept at making house mixes like black and tans (Bass Ale and Guinness), snake bites (cider and lager), black velvets (cider and Guinness) and other sudsy creations.
