JOHN MAYER IS AMAZING
John Mayer is absolutely amazing... His lyrics are so creative and its so easy to relate to them, his guitarplaying is incredible, and his voice is so dreamy! He is all around an amazing musician and person. He's GREAT in concert, too!!
H-O-T-T
John Mayer is absolutely incredible. Saw him at Cat's Cradle last year and the show this weekend is sure to be a huge event. He has been my favorite artist over the past year. OK, yes, he's starting to blow up and people will cry "sell out." But you can't deny raw talent. Mayer is not a DMB clone- he has carved out a place for himself. Don't believe me? Go to a show or download some of his live recordings. You will be hooked!
John Mayer is awesome!
John Mayer is so awazing LIVE in concert. I've seen him once before at Nashville Riverstages and it rocked. Before we ate at Sabarro and John sat right behind us! The whole time we were freaking out!
Great seduction tool--John Mayer
Although his voice may make you think Dave Matthews, his lyrics only make you think "WOW"! His new album "Room for Squares" is, in my opinion, the best album to make love to! His sultry voice backed by smooth guitar and regular rhythmic beats is amazing. He is DEFINATELY not just a chick pleaser though. Men are sometimes hesitant to get on the Mayer bandwagon, but after one complete listen there is just no denying the talent! If anything, men should own the CD as part of their game plan! No woman can resist the vocal stylings of John Mayer!
JOHN MAYER ROCKS!!
john mayer is AWESOME in concert!! i was mildly into him until i went to his show at the house of blues and from then on, i've been HOOKED! he's THE most awesome performer and he draws you in not only with his awesome musical skill, but also with his humor and great stage presence. everyone should see him!!
Awesome
I was so excited to go to this concert, as I am very fond of my John Mayer Album. I was worried once we got there; as I saw that most of the people streaming into the venue looked like they may not have been born in "83," much less understand the nuances of the song. Guster was not anything I would pay to see again, and I was turned off by the crowds immaturity during this portion of the show, I debated walking out! Guster seemed to go on and on and on, I just don't think he was that good! John Mayer was AWESOME. He did a great job covering his album, as well as INXS and others, and there were plenty of guitar riffs in the blues style, which I LOVED, and was not aware he was capable of. The night, thankfully, was not a wash!
Go for the Gus!
I am willing to brave the crowd of 10,000...most of them likely to be screaming teenage girls...for one thing and one thing only. G-U-S-T-E-R. Bongos. Rule. My. World. We're seeing them next week in St. Louis as well and that's a seated show show should be a little better...I think tomorrow is going to be insane. Oh, is John Mayer playing too? Hey, its only going to expose more people to Guster--can't be all bad.
Guster is the REAL reason to go
While John Mayer might have some catchy tunes, I find him and his fan base to be quite fake. Normally I wouldn't consider going to this concert, but once I read that Guster was opening, I changed my mind and decided to endure the torment of the fake, 20-something, Mayer crowd. Guster will, without a doubt, out-perform Mayer live...I've been to quite of few of their concerts, and unlike Mayer, they won't disappoint.
overrated
Mayer's horrible lyrics and bubble gum pop are complimented byhis extremely inflated ego. Enjoy his many stories about how great he is about how lucky he is to be himself. Guster is a great band though, so you should go see them.
