Go for pre or post-dinner drinks

Having just moved to Newport, and heard all the buzz about Cheeky Moneky, I was very excited to have a fabulous meal. The ambience is second to none and the decor was top-notch. The service was incredible. Yet, I have to say that the food was very disappointing. The menu was quite small. I ordered a pork tenderloin that was average, but the mashed potatoes definitely tasted like they were shaken out of a box and the sauce from the tenderloin tasted like it came out a Hunt's can. There's nothing wrong with any of that if you know that's what you're getting. It tasted like diner food for which I paid $28 a plate. Not worth it.

I will definitely return for cocktails.

Good but very expensive!

My dinner was very good as was the service and ambience, but it is very expensive. The average entree costs $30. There are plenty of restaurants around that are just as good and cost much less. I would only go back for a special occasion.

GREAT PLACE

A must for every one of our trips to Newport. From appetizer to dessert the meal is always excellent, great wine selection as well.
