The Place to be in Newport

Restaurant was trendy and was packed on a Thursday night in the off-season. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table at 7PM but it was worth it. The ambience was that of a upscale sports bar. Filet was excellent and the wife enjoyed the bottomless salad bar which also came with my meal. Good wine selection and service was excellent. Seems to be a favorite amoung the locals as well as tourists.

Good Place to eat

Great place hands down.. Definately givge it a change, dont get put off by lack of parking, park somewhere far away and walk to it.

Great food and friendly service

We got lucky and found a parking space right in front of Brick Alley. Not know anything about it except the awards posted by the front door, we took a chance and were very happy with our lunch. My husband's steak and cheese sandwich was huge and very good, I chose the Buffalo chicken pizza and this was wonderful, just really tasty. My sister picked the club sandwich and it was very generous too. Can't wait to go back and try the dinner options sometime. Our server was pleasant and refilled drinks right way - nice. The salad bar looked good. Bathrooms were spotless, which is one of my criteria for a top rating.

• Pros: Good food, great portions, friendly staff who looked like they enjoy working there
• Cons: parking (its Newport after all), not much else!

The Brick Alley Pub is a great restaurant

The appetizers are excellent and so is the steak au poivre (which you can have on whatever cut you'd like if you ask - I chose the rib eye, YUM). Your entree includes the salad bar which is great too. The Pub is very busy but it is worth the visit. If you have the appetite (so much food!) and can take the time to relax and enjoy the evening, this is the place to go. Have one of their signature drinks. They also sell their hot sauces to take home if you like.

Fun casual restaurant with good food

Great place to take friends and family, the only problem is there can be long waits, depending on what time you go. It never seems to be as long as they say, but you can wait in the bar. Everyone seems to love the salad bar, and the hamburger is always a good choice. The menu is extensive, from sandwiches, pasta, steak to pizza. The service is usually very good (our favorite waitress is Sue S.)

The place to go in Newport with family or alone!

Great Place! Been here many times on my trips to Newport and manage always to find something new to try. They have a great selection and something for almost everyone, including the kids. The food is plentiful, well prepared and always delicious. My experiences with service have been great as well, the waiters and waitresses are always very personable and well trained. Very cool atmosphere with alot of memorabilia and other antiques. A lot of local Newport culture and history is on the walls! Just a great place to bring a family or get a drink, sometimes there is a wait, but there is plenty of shopping around the area to do in the mean time.

• Cons: Longer wait?

The Brick Alley Pub is over rated. Their food is just okay. I dont see why people wait in line to eat there. The only thing is they have great drinks! But i would rather go somewhere else to eat.

Brick Alley ROCKS!

Brick Alley Pub is absolutely the best place to eat in Newport. The menu has something for everyone, and the salad bar is spectacular. We love to pig out on salad and bring our meals home for later!
