Fun dive bar. Lot of friendly and coloful locals. You will want to sit here and have a beer. Lively. Comfortable.

This place is fun. I like bars that feel a bit rowdy, like you're walking into a different world. The place is very causal, very relaxed, it's like "Cheer" meets "Biker bar" meets, "Local drunk fun people bar". There's a dog there. There's a man with a long grey beared, leather vest, beer belly and huge grin on his face, there's a bartender who commands her crowd and will take care of you like you're her own child. There's a juke box and sometimes a bad. Pool tables and plenty of seating indoors. Some outdoor patio action as well.
- Pros: FUN
- Cons: if there is a band playing you can't hear yourself or the person you are trying to talk to.
Industrial on the outside, spartan on the inside, this bar is beloved by bikers, businesspeople, and the occasional Labrador retriever.

The Scene
Folks of all flavors mingle at this Jewelry District watering hole. The straight-talking bar staff serves up Pabst on tap while a sizeable mug-shot of Ol' Blue Eyes stares out from the cinderblock wall, and Johnny Cash croons from the jukebox. (A dollar gets you 10 songs.) Some customers take turns playing pool; others peer up at the enormous sailfish overhead or deal cards from centrally located tables. If you crave intimacy, slide into the curvy banquette covered in indigo velvet; if it's action you seek, the wall-ledge makes for a perfect perch.
The Draw
PBR has been a standard at Nick-A-Nee's for longer than the beer's new hipster proponents have been alive. The beer list--posted on a chalkboard at one end of the bar--features a half-dozen basic brews on tap and 15 bottled selections. The bartenders won't necessarily engage in light banter, but you're sure to get a skillfully poured cocktail.
