Overpriced and Stuffy

Before I made an appointment, I checked the reviews, well sad to say, I did not have the same experiences as some of the others. I had Melissa. She was 15 minutes late and never even apologized for her tardiness. My time is as valuable as hers. Traffic is the excuse, so leave home earlier. Do what it takes to be on time. I was on time. The salon was stuffy, not friendly, not warm. I did not like how Melissa styled my hair. I pointed out another customer's style and said I thought that style was cute, she ignored it. She never even thanked me for her tip which I should have not given her. In addition, they do not return calls. I called to ask a question about a producet. The woman said she had to ask John and she would call back. I never received a call back. Don't waste your money. There are plenty of other salons better and less expensive.

Best Hair Salon in Providence!

I have been going to the John Bacon Salon for 15+years. The entire staff is terrific-at one time or another I have had almost all of the stylists at least blow-dry my hair and I have never been disappointed. John has attracted a wonderful, talented group-they are professional, accommodating and especially up-to-date on the latest techniques and styles. Jen has been my regular sylist for years and she always takes the time to make sure each cut is perfect! I can't say enough!

• Pros: Great sylists, professional atmosphere, super colorists
• Cons: parking can be hard on the street sometimes

12-14 years, that is how long I have been going to the John Bacon Salon. Normally people change their stylist every few years, no need to with my stylist. John Bacon stays ahead of the trends keeping my cut stylish and carefree. I certainly wish I had $1.00 for every stranger that has complitmented me on my cut.

The Best Hair Stylists in NE!

The John Bacon Salon is outstanding. I have very thick, curly and challenging hair and John is the only stylist I have met that can consistently give me a great cut. John has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. I moved to Boston 18 years ago and tried several Boston stylists over a 3 year period. No one can cut hair like John so I drive to Providence once a month to see him. Everyone at the salon is courteous and professional. I highly recommend it!

• Pros: Great staff, good location, nice atmosphere, fabulous cuts!
• Cons: On street parking only. Be careful of the meter maids!
