This is the Worst salon that i went to

I got my japenese (permanent)Straightening at the Christiaan.Sacha is the hair stylist who did it. Please NEVER EVER get the hair straigtening at the salon.After the treatment I washed my hair and it turned back to curls.I called the salon and they said they are not ready to redo my hair and I need to everytime i wash my hair.This is completeley opposed to the meaning of permanent hair straightening.They charged me the premium rate than compared to boston downtown.

The BEST

I have extremely thick, wavy/curly, nearly impossible hair to cut + style. I've been to every big expensive salon in New York and Miami and have never had as wonderful an experience as I did with Riki at Christiaan. She listened to my questions, worries, hair complaints, etc, and gave me the best haircut I have ever had. It is just as I have wanted it for years...I almost can't believe it. I created an account on Citysearch just to write a review for this salon. The second thrilling surprise was the price...I've paid three times what Riki charged at places like Bumble & Bumble, Woodley & Bunny, etc. for a cut that has gone up into a bun within hours of leaving the salon. I walked through a small wind storm after leaving the appointment and my hair STILL looks awesome. I could not be happier. She is a miracle worker!

Best Colorist in the City!

Recently while I was home for the summer I needed a haircut and color desperately! Riki Vieira came to my rescue. She is one of the newest additions to the already awesome cast at Christaan's. I never know what I want when I need to get my hair done. Enter Riki, you automatically know you're in good hands! She puts you at ease with her professionalism, and is just the person you want giving you the next look that hasn't even been in the magazines yet. She is forward thinking but also concerned with what would best work for you. She is by far the best colorist that has EVER touched my hair, she fixed the horrible blond chunks I had in my hair to sweet "peek a boo" pieces with a hint of lilac to them. She then proceeded to give me one of the newest TIGI hair cuts but tweaked it to my liking. (I have glasses so my fringe has to be cut a bit shorter.)

Riki has been cutting my hair for quite a few years now, I'd like to say I'd follow her wherever she goes, but I have a pretty cool job in Texas now. No one but Riki has managed to cut my hair the way I like it with little or no prompting. Beyond being intuitive to the customers needs she is also knows everything there is to know about all Tony and Guy products. She has never led me astray with whatever product she points me to.

Providence, you are very lucky to have Riki, if I could talk her into moving to Texas for me I would, but high school teachers generally don't have personal stylists!

It was my first time to the christiaan salon. I was a bit anxious about getting my hair cut. I had an appointment for a razor/scissor cut with Riki. She sat me down, we discussed what I needed. She worked diligently and confidantly. She has a great eye for detail and she knew exactly what cut I was looking for. Her techniques are very well thought out and show her dedication to her profession. She stayed focused on me and my cut through the duration. I am very impressed with Riki, and I know that anyone else who experiences a cut/color by her will feel the same.

Also, I loved the salon and the look. The girls who work in there were very down to earth and polite. The prices were extreamly reasonable especially for a stylist with the amount of talent and experience as Riki.

great experience

I visited the salon 2 weeks ago and my appointment was with Michelle. I had to write in and say i love my haircut! I have received so many compliments and I just love the way I look. She really listened to what I wanted and I just love the results! I also thought the staff was very friendly and I only had to wait 5 minutes. Great experience. I will be back!

Great Hair Color

I recently had my first vist at Christiaan Salon. From the moment I walked in I loved it! I was greeted by the receptionist when I checked in, served a cup of tea, and my stylist, Sacha, was right on time. I was nervous about having my hair colored some where new, but she talked to me for quite a while about my options. She did a fabulous job with the color and gave me a great cut! I will absolutely go back again!

I am new to the Providence area and used this sight for recommendations. Thank you city search! I saw Tasha for hair removal and I loved the nufree hair removal system. It was less painful than waxing and I wasn't as red. The over all experience at Christiaan's was great. I was greeted at the desk with a warm smile and freiendly staff. I can't wait to return!

Look No Further for Incredibly Good-Looking Hair!

I've been having my hair cut and colored at Christiaan since 1995 and I have never had a less than fantastic experience. The owners, Bill and Sherri, and the various stylists are friendly, very well trained, and responsive to your wants and needs. If you want to try something "new" they'll give you an honest opinion and craft a look that fits your hair, complexion, and lifestyle. In 13 years I've had long hair, dark hair, short hair, light hair, and a bunch of things in-between - and each look was perfect for me at that particular stage in my life. But the best thing about Christiaan is that you'll walk out feeling like you have the hottest haircut in town - and who doesn't want that? :-)

BEST permanent hair straightening: Bio-Ionic Retexturizing System with SHANNON

I first had by hair permanently straightened using the Bio-Ionic Retexturizing System back in October 2007 and I just had it done again (6 months later) and the results were absolutely amazing both times. I absolutely love my straight hair. I had wanted to do it for a while, but couldn't find the right place/stylist/product. Then, I found Shannon at Christiaan who uses the Bio-Ionic system. I met with Shannon for a consultation. She was beyond helpful in explaining every single step of the process in full detail. I decided to go through with it the following week. She did a PERFECT job. My hair looks incredible. Not only does she use the BEST product, but she is the BEST at the procedure. My hair is smoother, softer, and shinier than ever. Shannon takes as much time as she needs to make my hair perfect. And everyone at Christiaan is just so welcoming and sweet. I feel right at home when I'm there. I look forward to continuing the straightening process with Shannon and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone interested in permanently straightening their hair. I trust Shannon to do an outstanding job!!!!!
