comfortable atmosphere

I went to Basta on a girls night out after much deliberation... I hadnt been there in years, not since Bobby Gaudiana was the chef, and even though it was not nearly as comparable as it was then, I was also not disapointed. The menue was creative and the food was quite good, our server made the night fun and i was glad that Basta had not lost its friendly atmosphere. All in all it was an excellant evening.

• Cons: the interior cold use a little refreshing

Best traditional Italian

Excellent, One of the best in RI. Drinks are great from wine to martinis. Food is so excellent and the portions are huge. Compliments to Chef Thomas, Try the veal chop Special and the Parmesean

Best Italian food in R.I.

Outstanding food and excellent cocktails. THE BEST Veal I have tasted in years. Thier fish dishes are usually topped with lobster, shrimp or scallops. MMMM. I don't know where they purchase thier meats but from the 2 ' pork chops to the steaks you get outstanding cuts. The pasta dishes are out of this world delicious. CHING CHING to BASTA'S

Excellent Italian food.

Excellent Italian food. Rhode Islands best kept secret. The staff, especially Giuseppe and John are exceptionally superior. This restaurant is a AAA++++++, a must visit for everyone.

Wonderfully tasteful.

Ample parking and the attentive staff compliment the always superb food. Usually crowded and can get noisy at times but all that pales to the wonderful food.
