I have been trying for a long time to see what all the talk is about this place. LOts OF FOOD, not much quality.

I go out to eat at least 3 times a week and the only restaurant where the food is always unbelievable is Marchetti's. It has a big menu, the prices are great, and the portions are huge!! The staff is always friendly and i always feel welcome. This is a great family run restaurant with great italian food. If you want a great meal go to Marchetti's!!

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time! First of all, our waiter came to the table, covered in sweat. GROSS. We ordered a beer each and that order was messed up. No bread, calamari came w/no side dishes. We looked like pigs sharing out of a bowl. Then the salad 1 min later, then BAM, 2 enormous plates of dried up chicken parm was plopped in front of us. Mind you, we still hadn't finished the calamari! We asked why everything came out all at once and he said, "it's busy in here and we need to get the food out ASAP". (Which means food out=you out as soon as possible). We complained to managment, and the OWNER and we were not compensated in any way. Just 'oh, i'm sorry'. Well, we can get chicken parm anywhere in the state of RI...without the sweat.

10 or 15 years ago this place was A-1. My wife and I would eat there on a regular basis. We had some problems with the food and the owners/managers couldn't care less! It is true, they give you a LOT on your plate but if it is swill, who wants it? Others that we know noticed the quality go down also and now (for us and people in Cranston that we know) this place is "OFF LIMITS"

This restaurant is my absolute favorite and mind you I am very picky. How can you not like it here? The food is excellent! Some of my favorites, that are just to die for are the Calamari Alla Mama, Chicken Milanese, Stuffed Mushrooms and Baked stuffed Shrimp. The prices are so reasonable too! The hostess could be a little friendly, she seems a bit stuck up, but the rest of the staff is pretty good. The best salad I have ever had! Huge portions!! I have never once finished a whole meal, I always have left overs! You will not be disappointed!

Pros: Huge Portions, Fantastic food, Good prices

Cons: snotty hostess, diet pepsi not coke, small bathroom

I had to write a review after reading all the horrible reviews I read. I have lived in Rhode Island my entire life and my husband is VERY Italian. His family owned an awesome Italian restaurant for over 50 years and this is one of our favorite Italian restaurants to go to. The food is AWESOME, the value is INCREDIBLE and you cannot beat the service. The margaritas are delicious and cheap. We go there all the time and we have never had a bad experience.

Pros: Food, Drinks, Service

Cons: Small bathroom

If you are a person who likes a LOT of food (but you don't much care about the quality) .... this place is for you! The service is rushed when you don't want it to be and slow when you want to get out.

Pros: Quantity, Inexpensive

So much food! I was eating delicious leftovers for 4 days. The prices are unbeatable but not at the cost of a good environment! Great service too.

I am originally from Rhode Island and I always make sure no matter how short my visit I have dinner at Marchetti's. The food is exceptional, It old Italian and you just do jot get that in any other state. People try to duplicate but they can not come close. I tell everyone to make sure they experiance this resturant.

Pros: great food, good parking, good value

I can't imagine how anyone could give this restaurant a passing grade. The food is chain restaurant quality, the atmosphere is lacking and the caliber of patrons says it all. If you are looking for a ton of food for no money then this is your place. But one has to wonder what quality of food and what type of kitchen conditions are being utilized to keep the price down and quantity up? This is a true joke!
